Don't Go With The Flow Be The Flow.

Language of Sufis

A language is a tool to understand the words or action, and emotions of people. There are several languages which spoken in all over the world e.g.: English, French, Japanese, Chinese and the list goes on.  These types of languages use only for the purpose of understanding the communication, emotions, and actions. These languages needs grammar, proper understanding, and spoken according to their country. However, there is another language which is obscure for many people. That language has no barriers, no grammar, and that is also not a nation wide. That is a universal language and that language is a “Language of Sufis”.

Whenever the word Sufi demonstrated, the names which come in my mind are Malwana Jalal Uddin Rumi and Shams of Tabriz. A Shams was the master of Rumi. He showed him the path of spirituality through Sufism.  Before the arrival of Shams in Rumi’s life, Rumi was considered as a prominent, and well know Scholar and Malwana in his village. As Rumi was Malwana and scholar, so he being respected by everyone. He had good reputation in his family and as well as in his village.

Shams was the dervish and he had a lot of knowledge about Sufism. He was seeking for a true companion whom he could share his knowledge. And that person was Rumi. When Shams first time met with Rumi, he asked to Rumi that how big is your cup? On First time Rumi perplexed, but, Actually, he was asking about the seven stages of truth?

There are seven stages on the path to truth; every soul had to go through in order to attain oneness. The first stage is a “Deprived Nafs. In this stage a person struggles for the worldly pursuits, he sticks on the materialistic things and suffers many hardships for the sack of the others. The second stage is the “Accusing the Nafs”. It is opposite of the previous one. In this stage a person debases the situation and he blames himself. In this stage a journey of inner purification starts. The third stage is the “inspired Nafs”. In this stage a person becomes mature; he surrenders and roams the valley of knowledge. And he passes and displays the patience, perseverance, wisdom and humility to others.  In this stage a someone become able to dwell here and he starts to lose the will to go further. The major hindrance of this stage is that this is trap for those people who aim to higher. The fourth stage is the “Serene Nafs”. In this stage a man altered into high level of consciousness. A man’s Generosity, gratitude and a wavering sense of content

ment regardless of the hardships becomes his nature. He entered into the valley of unity. Whatever situation God planned for him, he becomes happy. A mundane matter makes him no difference. In fifth stage a man somehow achieve the please nafs, serve God thorough serving others.   The sixth stage is the “Pleasing Nafs”. A person becomes a lantern for humanity. He radiates the energy. He teaches and illuminates like a true master. He heals powers and makes big difference in other lives. The seventh and last stage is the “Purified Nafs”. In this stage a man attain the stage of Insan-i-Kamil which means a perfect human being. Only few people attain this stage.

These above are seven stages which guided by Shams to Rumi. The path of Sufism is spiritual. Only those people understand who understand the language of Sufis. The seven stages are path to go Sufism. The language of Sufis is vast it cannot be define in words.
